SONO Ultrasound Wipes

The SONO ultrasound Wipes are designed specifically for ultrasound transducers. They clean, disinfect, deodorize and sanitize in one single and easy step. SONO ultrasound wipes use quaternary ammonium and are phosphate, bleach, alcohol and solvent-free. Therefore they are safe for all the transducer on the market.

SONO wipes won’t turn the cables or other plastic parts yellow. Also, with a size of 7″ x 10″, they are larger than most ultrasound wipes. As a result, they are the most popular wipes for ultrasound disinfection.

The wipes are available in two packages:

Sono ultrasound wipes are effective on more than 47 different pathogens, including germs potentially found on ultrasound transducers: MRSA, HIV, HPV, and STAPH

SONO wipes are EPA approved and are safe for veterinary use. They are specifically designed for use on ultrasound probes and transducers. For more versatile wipes, we recommend the Parker Protex range, also available in softpacks or canisters.

Because the SONO wipes start killing on contact, they eliminate 99.9% of bacteria in just 15 seconds.

While they are extremely effective, SONO Ultrasound wipes do not replace a high-level disinfection required for semi-critical instruments (in contact with non-intact skin or mucous membrane).
